I’m obsessed with cooking good food in our GeoPro. I’m constantly refining our set-up to make camper cooking more efficient and easier to clean-up. When I found this 9-piece Neoflam cookware set, I knew I had to try it out. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QRL0NIA)
The cook set comes with a large and small fry pan, a large and small pot, removable handle, two cooking lids and two storage lids. It currently sells for a little over $100 which might seem like a lot but in reality, you may never cookset, so it’s definitely worth considering.
When shopping for a camping cookset, I have a few requirements.
- Easy to clean: I spent my entire childhood scrubbing crappy pans that had food burnt on. No more, I say, no more! 😉
- Stacking: They can’t take up a ton of room in the camper.
- Removable handle: Pots and pans with fixed handles are hard to store. All of my camping and backpacking cookware had removeable handles, so the camper cookset needed that feature.
- At least a big pot and fry pan: Different dishes work better in different shaped pots and pans.
- Heavy bases and oven-safe: Good pans are thick but maybe not heavy and it’s ideal if I can also stuff them in the oven to maximize coffee-drinking time.
Overall, this Neoflam set has it all. The pots are made from THICK aluminum, the nonstick coating is ridiculously easy to clean and they stack nicely. I put the two pots and pan over the stovetop in the camper and keep the big blue pan outside in the passthrough storage if I need it. I’ve made dozens of meals in these pans. I’ve fed my family, other people’s families and almost perfect strangers with them.
I’m hard on things, so we always joke that stuff has to be “Jolly Tough” to survive in our camper or in our life. These pots and pans have met that challenge head-on and I think I’ll be cooking in them for YEARS to come. I can’t recommend them enough.
